Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
On the Feast of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, the Patron Saint of our Parish, and during the Octave of Christmas, we are called to contemplate the profound message of faith and tangible experience. In his heartfelt words, St. John invites us to embrace the personal witness to the Word of life—what was heard, seen, and touched. This message holds particular relevance in our modern era, where the longing for empirical evidence often shapes our beliefs.
As we joyfully celebrate the Octave of Christmas, we are reminded that the eternal life made visible in the infant Jesus calls us to embrace the reality of God’s presence in our lives. St. John’s testimony and the image of the baby Jesus in the manger challenge us to confront our own longing for concrete proof and compel us to embrace the profound truth of the Incarnation.
St. John, the patron saint of our parish, exemplifies unwavering faith and a commitment to sharing the Gospel. His message, coupled with the tangible presence of Christ in the Christmas season, poses a crucial question to each of us: Will we choose to believe or continue to harbor doubts?
As we honor the Feast of our Parish’s Patron Saint, let us unite in celebration, prayer, and reflection. May God’s blessings and guidance be with us always. Let us open our hearts to the transformative power of faith and strive to emulate St. John’s unwavering commitment to proclaiming the Good News.
Wishing everyone a joyous Feast day, may our hearts be filled with complete joy in communion with the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
